WebsEdge

I am currently a Producer for WebsEdge, a British company with a mission to connect issues to audiences through web-based TV channels. We primarily work with public and private sector organizations to create informational, promotional and educational videos and mini-documentaries. My job is to liaise with clients through the entire production process, from conceptualizing their film to signing off on the final edit. I also manage project logistics, field produce, work with freelance vendors and track budgets.

When I'm not creating these videos, I'm working to produce conference media. WebsEdge works with conferences around the world to make news-style highlight programs full of conference events and behind-the-scenes interviews. For each conference I attend, I am responsible for making the production schedule, booking interviews, writing scripts and helping to film the key events.

VideoTakes, Inc.

As a Producer and Writer for VideoTakes, Inc., I created long and short-form documentaries, educational and informational programs, biography and tribute videos, advocacy pieces and PSAs. The highlights of my work were the environmental advocacy videos I created for nonprofit organizations. Using breathtaking HD footage of landscapes and wildlife, I produced two short videos about the dangers of oil and mineral development in the Alaska that are currently being used in the national campaigns of the Alaska Wilderness League and the Sierra Club. I also wrote and produced a film for USAID in conjunction with six international nonprofit groups about conserving global landscapes and seascapes. This video has been shown around the world, including at the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

My other clients at VideoTakes included the US Army Reserve, the Wallace Genetic Foundation and the Environmental Protection Agency of Montgomery County, Maryland, along with a variety of independent and nonprofit groups.

Sapling Pictures

As an Associate Producer at Sapling Pictures, I coordinated and helped to produce promotional spots for the Discovery Channel shows MythBusters, Deadliest Catch, Time Warp and Prototype This.

National Park Service

During my work as an Associate Producer for the National Park Service, I traveled to Montana and South Dakota to film Land of Dreams: Homesteading America, a video about land use and the legacy of the Homestead Act.

Additional Work

I was a Production Assistant at several West Coast production companies including Chambers Productions, where I set up lights and ran camera for promotional videos, and World of Wonder Productions, where I worked in post-production on such shows as Transgeneration and One Punk Under God. I also spent a year working on the evening news at KVAL-TV, where I did everything from run camera and direct talent to man the audio booth and Chyron.
